Payter Newsletter Update December

New: My PayterPortal

We have upgraded our terminal Management System and combined the Curo portal in the MyPayter portal.

What’s new in the MyPayter Portal:

  • Single portal for both configuration and financial reporting

  • Terminals are always connected, this allows for real time transaction data from terminal and direct update of terminal configuration.

  • Tracking of contracts associated with terminals allows detailed overview of your terminal estate and all its associated contracts, be they payment, data or support contracts.

  • Full time zone support allowing times to be displayed in either UTC, Browser Time or Terminal Time

  • Powerful reporting backend allowing reporting totals to be shown over amounts of terminals transactionsand or sold items.

We will be migrating terminals from the current system to the new system in the coming months, existing users will receive an welcome email with the option to set their password for the new system once they have been migrated.

More news:

Payter enables Contactless Payments in EV chargers with Allego, EMS and Shell.

Last month Allego, European Merchant Services and Payter have announced the launch of a new payment solution for the EV market.

As of today EV-drivers can charge their electric vehicles at Shell Stations by using their contactless EMV card (credit and debit cards). This payment method simplifies the user experience and makes it possible to easily start, stop and pay a loading session.

The partnership with Visa and other card schemes American Express and Mastercard makes it possible for drivers to see exactly how much their session has cost them at the end of the session. The first Allego fast charger with (EMV) NFC technology will be deployed at Shell Holloway in London as of today, with this new technology then being introduced across the Shell Recharge network in the UK. As from 2019 every new 50kW charger from Allego will have standard NFC at installation.

Remco Willemse, Managing Director of Payter: "With our years of experience in contactless payments in the vending and coffee industry, we are proud to introduce the technology into the EV market together with Allego. We see a huge growth in contactless payments and thanks to this new solution, EV-drivers can now decide how to pay by simply tapping their card. By processing both the current RFID cards and the payment cards in one terminal we offer the EV-drivers a quick, easy and hassle-free payment experience”.

QR/Bar Codes

More than just Cards

QR codes are becoming more popular as a payment or discount method for your favorite drink, snack or service. To increase acceptance and utilize the wide range of possibilities of QR codes Payter added QR and Barcode support through our terminals.

A QR/bar code scanner can be provided directly connected to the terminal, processing the scanned code through the terminal, therefor no addition processor or intelligence is required on your systems. The QR/barcode can be used to process payments through phone apps or provide discounts for specials or customers. Discounts can be based upon a fixed amount, e.g. 50 cents or a percentage but can also be used to provide a complementary cup of coffee for loyal customers.

The scanner is capable of reading paper and digital voucher even up to two simultaneous.

Payter can also provide a specially designed cabinet for a terminal with barcode scanner.

The verification of the voucher can be done through a local host or through the Payter system.

Please contact our sales team for more information.
