    To register / Activate your terminal you can go to www.payter.com and click on registration.
  • What is required to register/activate terminal(s)?
    Merchant ID with one of the supported banks/Acquirers. Terminal serial numbers.
  • Flow for registering and activating terminal(s)
    Submit the online terminal activation form on www.payter.com Wait for a reply from the boarding team with instructions. (Processing time: 1-5 business days depending on acquirer/route) Receive an email confirmation once activated. Perform a test transaction.
  • How long does it take to activate a terminal?
    The activation duration for terminal(s) typically takes 1 to 5 business days. This timeframe depends on the accuracy of the information provided in the boarding/registration form. If any information is missing, we will notify you via email, which may extend the activation duration beyond the average.
  • How can I add terminals to an existing payment contract?
    You can add terminals to an existing payment contract by completing the online terminal activation form. You can find the form at the following link: https://www.payter.com/terminalselection
  • What is the status of my terminal activation?
    You can check the status of your terminal activation in the MyPayter portal or by reviewing your email correspondence. Submit the online terminal registration form. Wait for a response. (Processing time: 1-5 business days) Receive an email confirmation once activated. Perform a test transaction.
  • What should I do if I am taking over terminals from another company?
    If you are taking over terminals from another company, the previous owner needs to fill out a mutation form using the following link: https://www.payter.com/terminalmutations In the transfer form, the current owner approves the transfer. Once submitted, we will send an email to the new owner regarding the activation process.
  • Can someone assist me with completing the online terminal registration form?

  • How can I place an order, and what information do you need from me?
    To place an order, please contact us at Sales@payter.nl. We will provide you with the necessary information and details about what we need from you to complete the order.
  • Where can I find my terminal's serial number?
    You can find your terminal's serial number on the back of the terminal or in the MyPayter portal or ask your supplier of the terminal if not delivered.
  • How does my terminal come online?
    The P6X series terminals can connect to the internet via a LAN cable or a SIM card. The Apollo series terminals can connect using a LAN cable, SIM card, or Wi-Fi. If your terminal has been activated but is still not online, please contact our support team at Support@payter.nl for assistance.
  • What is a SAM card?
    A SAM (Secure Access Module) card is a secure component used in payment terminals to store keys and facilitate secure transactions. It provides encryption and authentication to protect and ensures that transactions are processed safely. For the P6X SAMS are always needed.
  • Who or what is a payment processor, and why do I need one?
    A payment processor is a financial service provider that handles transactions between consumers, merchants, and banks. Why You Need a Payment Processor: Transaction Management: It ensures quick and secure processing of payments. Security: Provides encryption to protect sensitive financial information. Payment Options: Allows acceptance of various payment methods. Efficiency: Streamlines the checkout process for better customer experience. Reporting: Offers tools for tracking sales and analyzing customer behavior. In short, a payment processor is essential for securely accepting electronic payments.
  • What is the contract duration?
    The contracts are automatically renewed without notice after the minimum obligation of a one-year contract period. After the initial 12-month period, the subscription can be cancelled with one month's notice.

  • What should I be aware of if I or my machine supplier will be installing or placing my terminal?
    Before the terminal is ready for use, the following points must be completed: You have received confirmation from our Sales Support team that the terminal has been activated, based on the completed boarding form or online terminal registration form. A working internet connection is available via a LAN cable or a SIM card. (Please note: the SIM card is only active if this has been indicated in the registration form you completed. If the SIM card needs to be activated, you can send an email to sales@payter.nl with the serial numbers of both the terminal and the SIM card.) If you can answer "yes" to all of the above points, the terminal can be installed. Once the terminal is installed and has downloaded the contract details, it is ready for the test transaction. We always recommend performing a test transaction before making the machine available to the public. If the test transaction is approved/successful, the terminal is ready for use.
